Alexander Jr. to make Five Flags debut Friday night

A familiar name for Snowball Derbys past, but a new face will be at Five Flags
Speedway on Friday night.

Mike Alexander Jr. will make his track debut in the Pro Late Model division. The
Franklin, Tenn., driver is the son of Mike Alexander, who raced at the track during
the 1980s in the Snowball Derby and other Late Model events.

Sammy McMullen leads the points standings, while Hal Martin of Louisiana has
moved into second place.

Also Friday night, the Sportsman division will be showcased with the “West Florida
Coatings Sportsman Showdown.” The division has been one of the most pleasant
surprises of the 2007 season, as the number of entries and level of
competitiveness has exceeded all expectations.

The feature will be expanded to 30 laps and will pay $750 to win, thanks to the
assistance from former Sportsman standout and current Super Stock contender
Chris Cotto of West Florida Coatings. In addition, Cotto's latest venture, Under Car
Care & Performance, will sponsor the Pole Award for Fridays Event.

Cotto himself will be trying to extend his Super Stock win streak, but will be faced
with plenty of competition from the likes of teammate Steve Campbell, Top Gun
Points Leader Thomas Praytor, Mike Moore and a host of others.

The Bomber Division will also have a busy night, as the night's first order of
business will be to conclude the July 20th feature which was stopped on Lap 5 by
rain. This event will pick up where it left off with Brannon Fowler leading. All drivers
that started this event will be allowed to compete.

Then the regular feature race will wrap up the night’s action.
