O'Reilly Sprint Car series invades Southern Raceway saturday night
The O'Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series "Southern Thunder Tour" invades
Southern Raceway in Milton for the second time this season on Saturday night,
August 11th. The event is the final scheduled appearance of the 2007 season for
the worlds fastest short track cars on the high banked 3/8 mile clay oval just off
Hwy 87 on Nichols Lake Road.
Saturday nights event will feature a full racing program for the 700 horsepower
Outlaw winged sprint cars, including hot laps, quallifying heat races and a 30 lap
main event. Also, Southern Raceways weekly classes, Stingers, Hoggs, Street
Stocks, Vintage, UMP Modifieds, Hobby Stock, and Late Models will run their full
program.
Sprint Car entries from five or more states and as far away as Arkansas are
expected for this special event, including the feature winner from the April 7th race
at the speedway, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee.
