Lexington, Michigan (08/15/2007): This is the awards summary for the fifth event of
the 2007 season in the ASA Late Model Series Southern Division Presented by GM
Performance Parts Southern Division; The Orange County 125 Presented by FLF
Racecars.

The entire ASALMS team would like to thank Vance and Millie Agee, Kim Foushee,
Kip Childress, Terry Deal, and the rest of the great management and staff of the
Orange County (NC) Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina for the awesome

The 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Points Standings after Race Number Five
are now available as Loxahatchee, Florida Freshman, Jeff Choquette has taken
over both the ASALMS Southern Division Overall and Rookie of the Year Points
Leads based on his third straight podium finish and his first career ARP
Bodies/Aluminum Racing Products Fast Qualifier Award.

The 20-year-old Choquette will carry a 34-point lead over previous leader, fellow
Sunshine State Rookie, and 20-year-old, Sean Bass (804-770) to the Georgia
Doubleheader Weekend on Friday September 14, 2007 at the South Georgia (GA)
Motorsports Park and Saturday September 15, 2007 at the New Senoia (GA)
Raceway.

The GM Performance Parts Shootout Points Standings will remain the same for the
second event in a row as the GMPP Shootout was scrapped for the show in
Rougemont, North Carolina. Leading the way in the GMPPSO standings is Palm
Coast, Florida driver, Ricky D. Rubin, who leads by just three points over Jeremy
Gerstner (117-114).

The next two events for the ASALMS Southern Division will see the South
contingent run two races in two nights in the great state of Georgia, which will
prove to be pivotal in the chase for both the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division
Champion and Rookie of the Year titles.

The South Georgia 125 Presented by McDonalds at the South Georgia (GA)
Motorsports Park, which was scheduled for Saturday June 2, 2007 was postponed
due to the raging wildfires in the area at the time! That has been rescheduled for
Friday September 14, 2007 and will now be the sixth race of the 2007 season and
part of what will now be a Doubleheader weekend in the Peach State!

Joining the ASALMS Southern Division at South Georgia will be the SGMP Pure
Stocks. The South Georgia 125 Presented by McDonalds Entry Form is available
from the original date of June 2, 2007 and nothing has changed with the exception
of the date; Friday September 14, 2007 and is available by clicking on the link

The next day, Saturday September 15, 2007 the ASALMS Southern Division
contingent will travel North to the New Senoia (GA) Raceway, located Southwest of
Atlanta in Senoia, Georgia for the seventh race of the 2007 season and complete
the Georgia Doubleheader weekend with the running of the Senoia 125.

The Senoia 125 Entry Form will be available beginning on Thursday August 30,
2007 as the support divisions for the Senoia event will be announced at a later
date.
