Lexington, Michigan (11/27/2007): Kansas City, Missouri native, Brad Barlow,
who’s best known as the Operations Manager of the I-70 (MO) Speedway has
joined the ASA Late Model Series staff for the 2008 season!

The 46-year-old will assume the duties of Vice-President of Operations for all
three divisions within the ASALMS as well as the USPRO Cup Series beginning
with the 2008 season. Barlow brings a wealth of experience to the ASALMS
and along with his fiancee’, Linda Twyford, who will also join the ASALMS as
the new Marketing Assistant, will begin their duties on Monday December 3,
2007.

“I am honored and humbled to be able to work with Ron and Sandy Varney
and all those involved in the ASALMS. My goal is to help them continue to
grow the series therefore continuing to solidify the ASALMS as the Premier
Short Track Racing Series in the country.” Stated Barlow when asked about
his new position within the Lexington, Michigan based series.

Barlow’s responsibilities will include working with ASALMS Co-
Founders/Presidents, Ron and Sandy Varney on day to day operations as well
as working as the Advance Team with the participating Race Tracks and their
Marketing Partners in preparing the facilities for upcoming ASALMS events.

Barlow and Twyford will also be utilizing the ASALMS’ existing marketing
venues as well as exploring new marketing ideas in their respective areas.
“This strategy will increase market exposure for the ASALMS which will in turn
increase attendance and fan loyalty to the series.” Explained Barlow.

“I strongly encourage the participating teams to think outside the box and help
me and Linda with suggestions and ideas on developing strong identities for
the Race Teams in the markets and venues we will be visiting.” He added.
“Linda’s background in Sales and Marketing will be a great asset to the series.”

Barlow’s Operations Manager experience at I-70 Speedway has given him the
opportunity to learn every aspect of the racing business. I-70 has grown from
a one race track venue to a multi-use facility including the famous Half Mile
Asphalt Track to the new IMCA Dirt Track as well as Monster Truck events,
ESPN Demolition Derby's, and more.

Barlow and Twyford were both in attendance at the ASALMS’ last race of the
2007 season, the Adam Petty Memorial / All-American 200 as Barlow served a
Race Director for the majority of the weekend and both assisted in various
tasks up in the tower during the on track activities.

“Overseeing 75+ annual events has given me the knowledge and experience I
look forward to bringing to the ASALMS” Continued Barlow. “I enjoyed working
with everyone at Nashville and I cannot wait to meet everyone at the 2007
Banquet. I am excited about the 2008 ASALMS season and wish everyone a
safe and prosperous off season and Happy Holidays to ALL!” He ended.

Barlow was a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps
from 1979-1983 and after working for the United Parcel Service (UPS) from
1983-1989 as a Driver, and later a Supervisor and District Training Manager,
Barlow began his racing career in road course events within the SCCA open
class.

He was also a Driver / Instructor at the Skip Barber Racing School before
becoming the Co-Owner of the Ultimate Short Track Experience, based at the I-
70 (MO) Speedway and later the Operations Manager at the Odessa, Missouri
speed plant.
