Nov 26 2007 --- Double Duty at Derby for Cotto
Chris Cotto has a target on his back for the 40th Annual Snowball Derby.
When you have won 13 of the last 18 races you have competed in, your
gonna have that. No less than five previous Snowball Derby winners will be
trying to de-thrown the King of Super Stocks at 5 Flags Speedway. Chris does
not take that challenge lightly. To win a Derby you have to be prepared and
you have to be lucky too. Since the season finale Chris has completely gone
through the race car. That included a new engine, body and paint scheme.
With all that done and the car ready, how do you handle the pressure that
comes from trying to win back to back Snowball Derby's? If your Chris Cotto
you purchase another car and add another division to the challenge. Those
that know Cotto know that he loves a challenge. If you ask Steve Stokes, he
will just tell you that's just “CCC” (Crazy Chris Cotto).
Purchasing the #1 Modified of Goodson Racing, Cotto feels like he has the
equipment to compete for the win in both classes. Ricky Brooks has piloted the
#1 modified this year at Opp and dominated in the car. Early testing of the
Modified car by Cotto at 5 Flags last week was impressive. So Cotto fans can
expect a full dose of “CCC” at this years Derby. Be sure to come see Chris at
the Green Flag Party on Wednesday November 28th. Then you can look for
Chris on Friday night in the GSA Super Stock Derby 75 and the Modified
Derby 75 on Saturday night. That's Double Duty for Cotto and maybe Double
Trouble for the competition.
