Nov 28 2007 --- Speed51.com Named Official Website of The Snowball Derby
Again

Speed51.com covers some pretty big races every season.  The popular short
track website starts out the year by sending a crew to Lakeland, Florida for
Speedfest every January and from there planes, automobiles and an
occasional race hauler take the 51 staff to tracks all across the United States,
and sometimes even parts of Canada, to cover major racing events all year
long.  But for the past few years, Speed51.com has saved one of their biggest
races for last.

At the end of each season, Speed51.com has been involved with one of their
own traditions.  That is their marathon coverage of the annual Snowball Derby
at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.  The race is one of short track’
s crown jewels of the season and for months leading up the event, as well as
five days at the track and at various times after the race, 51 is known for
blanketing the Internet with their coverage.

Once again in 2008, Speed51.com has been named the “Official Website of
the Snowball Derby”.  It is the fifth year that the track and the website have
had this relationship.

“The Snowball Derby is one of the highlights of every season for the Speed51.
com crew,” said Speed51.com founder and SPEED TV personality Bob
Dillner.  “We really enjoy going down there every year and visiting the track.
Tim Bryant and his staff are great to work with and put on a great show, so to
continue partnering up with them to bring all of the race fans who can’t make it
to the track great event coverage is something that we’re glad to be able to
do.”

The schedule for Speed51.com’s coverage of the 40th Annual Snowball Derby
is going to be as extensive as always.  There will be daily reports from the
track, up-to-date photos of practice, qualifying and the race and recaps of the
Snowflake 100 on Saturday, December 1st and the Snowball Derby on
Sunday, December 2nd.  For the first time ever, 51 will also be doing
Trackside Now live from the Snowball Derby for much of the race week.

“We started Trackside Now at the beginning of this racing season and it has
become one of the most popular things that we do,” said Speed51.com Editor
Mike Twist.  “This will be the first time that we give the Trackside Now treatment
to the Snowball Derby and I’m really looking forward to it.  There are entrants
for the Derby that come from the upper Midwest, Texas, New England and
throughout the Southeast.  Not all of their family, friends, crew members and
fans can make it to the track, so this will give everyone with a computer the
chance to feel like they are right there at Five Flags Speedway.”

The Snowball Derby takes place at Five Flags Speedway from November 29th
through December 2nd.
