Lexington, Michigan (12/21/2007): The ASA Late Model Series Presented by
GM Performance Parts is moving full speed ahead with a much anticipated
2008 season. The ASALMS Southern Division has completed their second
season and no series in the entire United States experienced such a growth
from its’ first season than the ASALMS Southern Division!

For the second year in a row, the ASALMS Southern Division Champion also
won the Rookie of the Year title as well. Jeff Choquette joined James Buescher
as the dual Champion and Rookie award winners and joins an impressive
group of drivers in overall ASALMS to accomplish the dual feats!

Overall out of the 11 Feature events held in 2007 in the ASALMS Southern
Division, Beau Slocumb, despite missing the 2007 Season Opener in Bronson,
Florida led the way with an impressive Four (4) Feature Wins! Tying
Midwestern veteran, Eddie Hoffman for the most overall ASALMS Feature
Wins in 2007!

A slew of drivers picked up single Feature Wins and they included Choquette
as well as Rob Partelo, Brandon Johnson, Corey Williams, John Wes Townley,
and 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Champion, Trent Snyder, who won the
North VS South Shootout / World Cup 200 at the I-70 (MO) Speedway.

Here’s a capsule look at the Top 20 in the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division
Final Points Standings as well as honorable mentions that deserve recognition
for a solid 2007 season.

The Honorable Mentions include;

48 Billy Crane-Independence, Missouri: Winner of the GM Performance Parts
Shootout at the I-70 (MO) Speedway on September 23, 2007.

88 Trent Snyder-Ironton, Minnesota: Winner of the North VS South Shootout /
World Cup 200 at the I-70 (MO) Speedway on September 23, 2007.

58th Place: 60 Chad Akins-Daytona Beach, Florida: Winner of the GM
Performance Parts Shootout at the New Smyrna (FL) Speedway on June 23,
2007.

55th Place: 19 Shane Riffel-Huntersville, North Carolina: Winner of the GM
Performance Parts Shootout at the Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway on October
20, 2007.

50th Place: 31 Josh Byrns-Bowling Green, Kentucky: Winner of the GM
Performance Parts Shootout at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway on March
17, 2007.

42nd Place: 40 Corey Williams-Boothbay, Maine: Winner of the Orange
County 125 Presented by FLF Racecars at the Orange County (NC)
Speedway on August 11, 2007.

2007 ASALMS Southern Division GM Performance Parts Shootout Champion
41st Place: 13 Ricky D. Rubin-Palm Coast, Florida: Limited appearances in
2007, but garnered enough points to win the first ever GM Performance Parts
Shootout Championship for the ASALMS Southern Division.

27th Place: 711 Max Gresham-Milner, Georgia: Winner of the GM
Performance Parts Shootout at the Watermelon Capital (GA) Speedway on
May 5, 2007.

Now a look at the final Top 20 in the ASALMS Southern Division Drivers Points
Standings;

20th Place: 56 Wayne Morris-Lakeland, Florida
Three (3) Top 10 finishes with a season high of Sixth in the Florida 100
Presented by FLF Racecars at New Smyrna (FL) Speedway on June 23, 2007.

19th Place: 5 Cody Smith-LaVernia, Texas
One Top Five finish, which was also his lone Top 10 showing, a season high
Fifth in Senoia 125 Presented by FLF Racecars at the New Senoia (GA)
Raceway on September 15, 2007.

18th Place: 12 Tyler Townsend-Longview, Texas
One Top 15 finish, which was a 14th place finish in the Orange County 125
Presented by FLF Racecars at the Orange County (NC) Speedway on August
11, 2007.

17th Place: 59 Dustin Dunn-Jupiter, Florida
One Top 15 finish, which was a 15th place finish in the Camp Boggy Creek
100 Presented by Pennzoil and Dalton Zehr Racing at the Bronson (FL) Motor
Speedway on March 17, 2007.

16th Place: 16 Tommy King-Bartow, Florida
One Top Five finish as well as Three (3) Top 10 showings. King’s season high
finish was a Fifth place in the Orange County 125 Presented by FLF Racecars
on August 11, 2007.

15th Place: 32 Sean Murphy-Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Two (2) Top Five finishes which were also his Two (2) Top 10 showings. A
season high Second came in the Orange County 125 Presented by FLF
Racecars at the Orange County (NC) Speedway on August 11, 2007.

Murphy also recorded Two Fast Qualifier Awards with the first coming in the
South Georgia 125 Presented by McDonald’s Restaurants at the South
Georgia (GA) Motorsports Park on September 14, 2007. The second was in
the Meet the Stars 125 at the Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway on October 20,
2007.

14th Place: 26 Travis Cope-Weeki Wachi, Florida
Three (3) Top Five finishes along with Four Top 10 showings. Cope’s season
high of a Second place finish came in the South Georgia 125 Presented by
McDonald’s Restaurants at the South Georgia (GA) Motorsports Park on
September 14, 2007.

13th Place: 33 Dillon Oliver-Bowling Green, Kentucky
One (1) Top Five finish as well as Three (3) Top 10 showings. Oliver’s season
high of a Fifth place finish was during the Watermelon Bowl 125 at the
Watermelon Capital (GA) Speedway on May 5, 2007.

12th Place: 93 Rob Partelo-St. Petersburg, Florida
One (1) Feature Win, which came in the Camp Boggy Creek 100 Presented by
Pennzoil and Dalton Zehr Racing at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway on
March 17, 2007. Partelo’s win was also his lone Top Five finish to go with
Three (3) Top 10 finishes.

11th Place: 28 Sean Bass-Orlando, Florida
Three (3) Top Five finishes as well as Four Top 10 showings. Bass’ season
high was a Third place finish in the Watermelon Bowl 125 at the Watermelon
Capital (GA) Speedway on May 5, 2007.

Bass also picked up Two (2) Fast Qualifier Awards with the first during the
Florida 100 Presented by FLF Racecars at the New Smyrna (FL) Speedway
on June 23, 2007. His second was in the Crimson 125 Presented by FLF
Racecars at the Birmingham (AL) International Raceway on July 14, 2007.

Now onto the coveted Top 10 in the final ASALMS Southern Division Drivers
Points Standings;

10th Place: 70 Jeremy Gerstner-Wesley Chapel, Florida
Three (3) Top 10 finishes including a season high Seventh in the South
Georgia 125 Presented by McDonald’s Restaurants at the South Georgia (GA)
Motorsports Park on September 14, 2007. Also accumulated Six (6) Top 15
finishes!

9th Place: 86 Jimmy Lang-Hardeeville, South Carolina
One (1) Top Five finish, which was a season high Fifth place finish in the
Camp Boggy Creek 100 Presented by Pennzoil and Dalton Zehr Racing at the
Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway on March 17, 2007. Also racked up Four (4)
Top 10 showings.

8th Place: 8 Michael Seeright-Haines City, Florida
One (1) Top 10 finish, which was a season high 10th place finish in the
Crimson 125 Presented by FLF Racecars at the Birmingham (AL) International
Raceway on July 14, 2007. Also picked up Seven (7) Top 15 finishes! Seeright
also finished Fifth in the Final 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Rookie of the
Year Points Standings.

7th Place: 3 Brian Blum-Margate, Florida
One (1) Top Five finish, which was a season high Third place showing in the
Florida 100 Presented by FLF Racecars at the New Smyrna (FL) Speedway
on June 23, 2007. Also picked up Two (2) Top 10 showings. Blum also finished
Fourth in the Final 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Rookie of the Year title
chase.

6th Place: 62 Travis Wilson-Bartow, Florida
Two (2) Top Five finishes highlighted by a season high Fifth place finish on
two occasions. The first Fifth place finish came in the South Georgia 125
Presented by McDonald’s Restaurants at the South Georgia (GA) Motorsports
Park on September 14, 2007. The second Fifth place showing was in the Meet
the Stars 125 at the Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway on October 20, 2007.

Also registered Five (5) Top 10 finishes and also recorded One (1) Fast
Qualifier Award which was in the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Season
Championships / Alabama 125 at the Birmingham (AL) International Raceway
on October 27, 2007.

The best of the best, the Top Five in the final 2007 ASALMS Southern Division
Drivers Points Standings;

5th Place: 47 Chris Fontaine-Lakeland, Florida
Three (3) Top Five finishes with a season high of a Third in the Senoia 125
Presented by FLF Racecars at the New Senoia (GA) Raceway on September
15, 2007. Fontaine also grabbed Six (6) Top 10 finishes and Eight (8) Top 15
showings.

Fontaine also registered a season high Three (3) Fast Qualifier Awards with
the first coming in the Camp Boggy Creek 100 Presented by Pennzoil and
Dalton Zehr Racing at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway. The second was in
the same event at New Senoia Raceway where he finished Third. The final
Fast Qualifier Award came in the cancelled Seafest 100 at the Desoto (FL)
Super Speedway.

Finally, Fontaine finished Third in the Final 2007 ASALMS Southern Division
Rookie of the Year Points Standings.

4th Place: 09 John Wes Townley-Watkinsville, Georgia
One (1) Feature Win, which came in the Senoia 125 Presented by FLF
Racecars at the New Senoia (GA) Raceway on September 15, 2007. Townley
also recorded Three (3) Top Five finishes as well as Seven (7) Top 10
showings.

3rd Place: 41 Brandon Johnson-Longwood, Florida
One (1) Feature Win, which was in the Florida 100 Presented by FLF
Racecars at the New Smyrna (FL) Speedway on June 23, 2007. Johnson also
garnered Four (4) Top Five finishes and Seven (7) Top 10s.

Johnson also led the most laps of any driver in the ASALMS Southern Division
in 2007 with an impressive 309 laps our in front. Finally he finished in the
Runner-Up position in the chase for the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division
Rookie of the Year title.

2nd Place: 08 Beau Slocumb-Macon, Georgia
Four (4) Feature Wins, with the first coming in the Watermelon Bowl 125 at his
home track of the Watermelon Capital (GA) Speedway on May 5, 2007. The
second Feature Win was in the Crimson 125 Presented by FLF Racecars at
the Birmingham (AL) International Raceway on July 14, 2007.

His third Feature Win occurred in the Meet the Stars 125 at the Hickory (NC)
Motor Speedway on October 20, 2007 and finally Win number four was back in
Birmingham, Alabama in the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Season
Championships / Alabama 125 a week after his Hickory win on October 27,
2007.

Along-with his Feature Wins, Slocumb also recorded Seven (7) Top Five
finishes and Eight (8) Top 10 showings. Finally, he also won One (1) Fast
Qualifier Award, which occurred at the Watermelon Capital Speedway, site of
his first Feature Win of 2007. Slocumb finished in the Runner-Up spot in the
final points standings despite missing the 2007 Season Opener in Bronson,
Florida.

The 2007 ASA Late Model Series Southern Division Champion and Rookie of
the Year becomes the second straight ASALMS South driver in two seasons to
accomplish the feat joining 2006 Champion and Rookie, James Buescher.

The 21-year-old picked up One (1) Feature Win, which came in the South
Georgia 125 Presented by McDonald’s Restaurants at the South Georgia (GA)
Motorsports Park on September 15, 2007. In addition, Choquette racked up
Five (5) Top Five finishes and Six (6) top 10 showings to go with an impressive
Nine (9) Top 15s.

He also collected Two (2) Fast Qualifier Awards with the first coming in the
Orange County 125 Presented by FLF Racecars at the Orange County (NC)
Speedway on August 11, 2007. The second was in the North VS South
Shootout / World Cup 200 at the I-70 (MO) Speedway on September 23, 2007.

The ASALMS congratulates Jeff Choquette and the entire Choquette
Motorsports Team on winning the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division
Championship as well as the Rookie of the Year title. They all will be honored
at the 2007 ASALMS Awards Banquet on Saturday January 19, 2008 at the
Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Beginning on Wednesday January 2, 2008; The 2008 ASALMS Media Blitz for
the upcoming 2008 Racing Season will commence. The ASALMS will highlight
the 2008 Drivers, Host Facilities, New and Returning Sponsors, and Teams
who will call the ASALMS home in 2008 right up until the 2008 Season Opener
in Hudson, North Carolina.

The 2007 ASA Late Model Series Awards Banquet and Weekend of
Champions, which is set for Friday and Saturday January 18-19, 2008 at the
Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Louisville, Kentucky is the next official
event for the Lexington, Michigan based series.

Banquet Tickets are still available! Banquet tickets must be ordered by
Monday January 7, 2008 for seating arrangement purposes. Attendance is
mandatory for teams receiving Points Finds Winnings. Tickets for the banquet
must be purchased in advance through the ASALMS Office.

The 2008 ASALMS Season opens with a special “Non-Points” race as part of
SpeedFest 2008 at the immaculate USA (FL) International Speedway in
Lakeland, Florida on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday January 24-25-26, 2008.
The “Non-Points” Crate Late Model Challenge 100, to be run on Saturday
January 26, 2008 will see SpeedFest officials oversee the entire event with
technical support from ASA Late Model Series Tech Officials.

The entire weekend will be under the direction of Glenn Luckett and R.J. Scott
of CRA Super Series as well as Don Nerone of FASCAR. ASALMS Rules Will
Apply and the Goodyear 2602 Tires Must Be Purchased and Impounded at the
Track. ASALMS Licenses are NOT Required for this event.

All Cars #’s must carry an “N” or “S” Designation. South Cars will be from
Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. This is Subject to Change. No

The SpeedFest 2008 / Crate Late Model Challenge 100 Entry Form is
Available and will be $100.00 to enter and will be due at the USA International

The ASA Late Model Series Southern Division gets their 2008 season going
on Friday and Saturday March 28-29 at the fast 0.333 Mile High-Banked
Paved Oval of the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway, located West of Gainesville
in Bronson, Florida for the running of the 2008 Season Opener, the Bronson
100.
