Most Popular Driver Award!

drivers in the 2007 ASA Late Model Series Most Popular Driver Award contest,
which ends on Monday January 7, 2008 at 8:00a.m. (EST). (ASALMS File

Lexington, Michigan (12/31/2007): The ASA Late Model Series Presented by
GM Performance Parts Most Popular Driver Award contest is down to the
remaining Two (2) drivers. As the huge amount of votes keep coming in, the
“American Idol” style voting saw 2007 ASA Late Model Series Northern Division
Champion, Trent Snyder drop out of award contention.
That leaves just Two (2) drivers; 015 Colt James-Buda, Texas and 41 Brandon
Johnson-Longwood, Florida. But now the votes have been reset to Zero and
there's still time left to vote for either James or Johnson!
Simply cast your vote for your favorite driver and the driver who receives the
most votes from our great fans of the ASALMS will be honored as the 2007
ASALMS Most Popular Driver at the ASALMS Awards Banquet and Weekend
of Champions on Saturday January 19, 2008 at the Clarion Hotel and
Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Keep voting as often as you like on the ASALMS Official Forum as well as the
Poll Question Sections of the ASALMS North and South websites.
The Eight Eliminated drivers are: 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Champion,
Trent Snyder. Before Snyder, it was 2007 ASALMS Challenge Division Runner-
Up, Eddie Hoffman! 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Champion and Rookie of
the Year, Jeff Choquette, 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Rookie of the Year,
Jesse Saunders and 2007 ASALMS Challenge Division Champion, Travis
Dassow have also all been voted off in recent weeks.
Before Snyder, Hoffman, Choquette, Saunders, and Dassow; 2007 ASALMS
Northern Division Runner-Up, 19-year-old Nick Neville, Four-Time ASALMS
Southern Division Feature Winner, Beau Slocumb and 2007 Pat Bourdow
Memorial Rookie of the Year in the ASALMS Challenge Division, Sean Murphy
were previously voted off.
There are now Two (2) drivers left to begin the new calendar (2008) year.
From now until Monday January 7, 2008 the votes, which have been reset to
Zero, will be tabulated up until that Monday morning at 8:00a.m. (EST) and the
winner will be announced at the 2007 ASALMS Awards Banquet and Weekend
of Champions on Saturday January 19, 2008.
