In the three previous SpeedFests’ held with the popular template bodied Super Late Models, two of those have been won by ASA Late Model Series competitors. In January of this past season; Wheaton, Illinois veteran, Eddie Hoffman started off his 2007 campaign right by taking the checkered flag in the 200-lap Feature.
In the inaugural event in 2005, Eau Claire, Wisconsin veteran, Charlie Menard was the winner over a very strong field. Sandwiched between the two veterans’ victories, Florida ace, Mike Fritts took home the victory in the 2006 version of SpeedFest. This will be the first ever appearance for the ASALMS at the Lakeland, Florida speed plant.
