  2007 ASA Late Model Series Champions; Travis Dassow, Trent Snyder and
Jeff Choquette honored at the 2007 ASALMS Awards Banquet in Louisville,

Lexington, Michigan (01/21/2008): The ASA Late Model Series Presented by
GM Performance Parts Awards Banquet and Weekend of Champions came to
a close on Saturday January 19, 2008 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference
Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The Three 2007 ASALMS Champions were
honored in front of a packed house in the Blue Grass State.

The Clarion Hotel and Conference Centers’ cavernous Banquet Hall was jam
packed as over $150,000 in awards, cash, and points funds were distributed
to the cars and stars of the ASALMS in all three divisions. Overall during the
2007 season, over $1,500,000 in awards, cash prizes, contingencies, and
purses was awarded throughout the three divisions of the ASALMS!

Highlighting the evening was the official crowning of the three ASALMS
Champions for the 2007 season; Travis Dassow won the 2007 ASALMS
Challenge Division Championship while Trent Snyder took home the 2007
ASALMS Northern Division title. Finally Jeff Choquette won both the 2007
ASALMS Southern Division Championship and Rookie of the Year titles!

In addition, Sean Murphy was officially crowned the 2007 Pat Bourdow
Memorial Rookie of the Year in the ASALMS Challenge Division and Jesse
Saunders claimed the 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Rookie of the Year title.

The 2007 GM Performance Parts Shootout Champions were crowned as well.
18-year-old Alec Carll brought home the ASALMS Challenge Division title while
Mike Osgar was awards the Shootout title for the ASALMS Northern Division.
Finally Ricky D. Rubin was the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Shootout
champion.

The Final Rundown in the ASALMS Challenge Division saw Travis Dassow win
the Championship with Eddie Hoffman coming home in second. Colt James
was third while Sean Murphy, Derek Thorn, Peter Cozzolino, Michael Annett,
Charlie Menard, Keeton Hanks, and Jesse Smith completed the Final Top 10.

Michael Simko, Kris Stump, Alec Carll, John Wes Townley, and Brian Campbell
were 11-15. Murphy would take home the 2007 Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie
of the Year title over Thorn and Simko and finally Carll would win the GM
Performance Parts Shootout Championship.

In the ASALMS Northern Division, Trent Snyder was the ASALMS Northern
Division Champion over Nick Neville, Jesse Saunders, Peter Cozzolino, Mike
Heiss, Charlie Menard, Jesse Smith, Derek Neville, Dave Gentile Jr., and Alex
Kennedy completed the Top 10.

Team Finley Racing was 11th with primary driver, Chad Finley while Troy
Hintzsche, Josh Wallace, Allen-Hock Motorsports with primary driver, Phil Gill,
and Steven Brooks were 11-15. Saunders won the 2007 ASALMS Northern
Division Rookie of the Year title over Heiss and Gentile Jr., and Mike Osgar
won the GM Performance Parts Shootout Championship.

Finally in the ASALMS Southern Division, Jeff Choquette took home the
Championship ahead of Beau Slocumb, Brandon Johnson, John Wes Townley,
Chris Fontaine, Travis Wilson, Brian Blum, Michael Seeright, Jimmy Lang, and
Jeremy Gerstner, the Final Top 10.

Sean Bass, Rob Partelo, Dillon Oliver, Travis Cope, and Sean Murphy were 11-
15. Choquette also won the 2007 Rookie of the Year honors over Johnson
and Fontaine. Ricky D. Rubin was awards the GM Performance Parts Shootout
title.

ASALMS Director of Media/Public Relations-P.A. Announcer, Matt Prieur
served as Master of Ceremonies for the evening along-with ASALMS Co-
Founder/President, Ron Varney.

In Individual awards, Brandon Johnson win the ASALMS Most Popular Driver
Award while Wes Griffith Jr., won the Sportsman of Year honors. Most
Improved Driver went to Steven Brooks and Deon Deneau from S.S. Racing
with driver, Sean Murphy was awarded the Crew Chief of the Year Award.

Special Awards saw Wayne Estes from the Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway win
the Jim Amstutz Memorial Promoter of the Year Award while ARP
Bodies/Aluminum Racing Products was presented with the Sponsor of the Year
honors. Brad Cook from ARP Bodies was on hand to accept the award.

ASALMS Tech Official, Christine Bishofberger was the recipient of the Bob
Milner Memorial Official of the Year Award. All awards with the exception of the
Most Popular Driver Award were voted on by the ASALMS family of race teams.

Six complete bodies were given away during the evening courtesy of ARP
Bodies and Five Star Race Car Bodies who each awarded Three (3) bodies
apiece with one each going to one driver per division.

In the ASALMS Challenge Division, Travis Dassow and Michael Simko were the
award winners while Chad Finley and Jesse Smith won bodies for the ASALMS
Northern Division. Finally Jeremy Gerstner and Chris Fontaine took home
bodies for the ASALMS Southern Division.

The first race of the 2008 season is this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
January 24-26, 2008 as the ASALMS will run the “Non-Points” Crate Late
Model Challenge 100, which is part of SpeedFest 2008 at the fast 0.750 Mile
Progressively Banked Paved Oval of the USA (FL) International Speedway in
Lakeland, Florida.

The Crate Late Model Challenge 100 / SpeedFest 2008 Entry Form is Still
Available and will be $100.00 to enter and is due at the USA International
Speedway Offices in Lakeland, Florida as soon as possible. The cost is
$150.00 to enter.

The CRA Super Series and the FASCAR Florida Sunbelt Series serve as head-
liners for SpeedFest 2008 at the fast 0.750 Mile High-Banked Paved Oval. The
ASALMS portion of the weekend will be a “Non-Points” special event for ALL
Template Bodied / Crate Engine machines from all over North America.

SpeedFest officials will oversee the entire event with technical support from
ASA Late Model Series Technical Officials and Staff. The entire weekend will
be under the direction of CRA Super Series Promoters, Glenn Luckett and R.
J. Scott as well as FASCAR’s Don Nerone. All three will be co-promoting the
entire weekend with the speedway.

ASALMS Rules Will Apply for the Crate Late Model portion of the weekend as
the Goodyear 2602 Tires Must Be Purchased and Impounded at the Track.
ASALMS Licenses are NOT Required for this event.

All Cars #’s must carry an “N” or “S” Designation. South Cars will be from
Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. This is Subject to Change. No
