Zaxby’s, a Southeast favorite for chicken fingers and Buffalo wings, has its success rooted in a simple operating philosophy developed by its founders that has matured into the company’s mission statement - “Consistently create encore experiences that enrich lives one person at a time.”

Along with the teaming up of Zaxby’s and RAB Racing, the two companies welcome rookie driver, John Wes Townley. Townley began his racing career in go-karts at the age of nine. From there he has successfully competed in the INEX Bandolero Division, NASCAR Camping World Series, USAR Pro Cup Series, and in the ASA Late Model ranks, where he took home a victory at New Senoia (GA) Raceway on September 15, 2007.
“We are excited about John Wes, my son, being the driver and representing Zaxby’s as well as RAB Racing,” Tony Townley continued. “We feel like he has paid his dues in the late model program as well as some USAR Pro Cup Racing over the last couple of years. We are looking forward to Daytona.”
Townley attended the December 2007 open ARCA test session at Daytona International Speedway with RAB Racing where he posted the third fastest drafting speed with a time of 49.284 seconds at 182.615 mph.
“I am very confident about this year and know that I am going to a great team,” John Wes Townley said. “My two main goals for going into the 2008 season are to be in the top-ten in points and win the rookie of the year honors. This is my first season in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and I am very excited about it. I am going into it with great thoughts and expectations.”
RAB Racing with Brack Maggard is no stranger to the ARCA RE/MAX Series. After stepping onto the ARCA RE/MAX Series scene in 2005 under the reign of Co-Owner and Crew Chief, Robby Benton, RAB Racing with Brack Maggard has racked up 23 top-tens, eight top-fives, and two record setting poles.
“I am looking forward to bringing up a rookie with the values and determination that John Wes represents,” Robby Benton stated. “ARCA racing will be new to him, and I feel with the experience that we have, we will be able to offer him the best opportunity possible.”
“I am proud that a company of Zaxby’s stature finds the platform they are looking for in RAB Racing. It’s a testament to both what our team has proven we are capable of, on and off the track, and how the ARCA Series has grown.” Benton ended.
Among the many changes RAB Racing with Brack Maggard is accruing this year, the team also announced the switch from the Dodge Charger to that of the Ford Fusion.
“I am happy to be getting back to the manufacturer that I have a history with and to be doing business with the Yates family again in the engine department,” Benton continued. “They are an organization that I am familiar with and have the utmost respect for.”
