  East Bay Raceway Winternationals Practice Night

The East Bay Raceway Winternationals are in full swing. The ASCS 360 sprint
cars and the Florida Mini Sprint Association mini sprints are up first. On the
2008 Winternatioal schedule. With the practice being held tonight the drivers
and their crews were hard at work.

With the all the hard work of the staff East Bay Raceway has prepared a top
notched racing facility.
The stands are already for the fans and the breezeway is full of vendors. And
of course the great food from East Bay raceway there is something for
everyone. As a treat for the fans the DAK Simulations sprint car simulators are
set up for the fans to get a real feel for sprint car racing and this is a must try
for any fan.

Practice got under way tonight for the ASCS and Florida Mini Sprint
Association cars and the track took rubber fast like it is known for. The cars
got faster and faster through the night.. With the ASCS top cars turning mid
too upper thirteen second laps . Some of the fastest cars of the night were
showing their stuff and making their presence know . The cars of Kenny
Adams, Sport Allen and Matt Tiffany who are some of Florida’s best sprint car
drivers and Terry Gray and Chuck Swenson showing that they had what it
takes to be very fast on the clay by the bay. They are now set to race for three
nights to see who will be the King of the 360’s for 2008.

The Florida Mini Sprint Association has a great field of cars. These seven
hundred pound sprint cars really fly! With some of the faster cars of Eddie
Moss Jr. who is the FMSA 2007 champion and Mardy Hardgroder, Luke
Thomas and Amanda Ferguson all running in the high fifteen to low sixteen
second laps. With many other top drivers like five time FMSA champion Jesse
Teed, John Craddock and Jim Young these racers will put on three strong
nights of racing and will return to East Bay Raceway to run with the 410’ on
February 11th and 12th.

Practice was completed just after 9PM and the first of three nights of sprint car
racing starts on Thursday January 31st and runs through Saturday February
2nd.
